The key to being a great actor or actress, is to be believable. Overacting, which is often the problem for theatrically trained talents can kill a performance. A professional actor or actress understands how the camera sees them and acts for the camera. The slightest movement can convey the deepest emotions and thoughts. Our program focuses on teaching you how the camera sees you. We direct you as you act out a rehearsed scene in front of a camera. We focus on tight close-ups so that you can learn how to convey any emotion through your slight movements and facial expressions.
Get your son or daughter off to the right start. Our training will help them to build confidence, increase public speaking ability, and help them improve their memorization skills.
How do we do this?
We film your child so that they can see how they portray themselves to others. Rarely do we see ourselves from others perspective but this is the way that we can learn what things we can improve on in our everyday mannerisms. By having your child memorize a scene and then perform it in front of a camera they can see for themselves how a little guidance and direction will make their performance significantly better. In turn, the skills that they learn can be applied to everyday life in all interactions that they have with others.

This course will prepare you for the reality of Hollywood and major production studios in general.
Paying jobs are not obviously prevalent, however unpaid "acting opportunities" (i.e. extra work, often for student projects) is rampant.
Actual filmmakers and investors are unique and most of them know each other. The major paying studios, casting agents, producers and directors, know each other, so if you make a mistake, be aware that blacklisting is a reality. This course is essential for all who might be planning a trip to try to break into the film industry in Hollywood.
Because the jobs that pay, in Hollywood, are mainly through the major studios it is important that you always present yourself professionally. This basically means, that you are never late, never a problem and are always friendly and strive to make the production process as smooth running as possible. If you become a problem person, it will become very difficult to ever get another paying job. The same rules apply wherever you live.

It is nice to have an agent on the look out for work for you. Often your agent will have a contract that protects your interests. Some downsides to having an agent is that they require compensation from you or the hiring party. Some agents require that you still provide them with compensation even when you are the one who booked the job without their help.

Productions are often categorized as union or non union. Union workers are not supposed to work non-union jobs and can be penalized if they do. There are yearly dues that have to be paid to keep union status after joining the union. Sometimes productions use both union and non union actors and actresses with speaking lines only being given to those who are in the union. Union productions are much more expensive as they have to meet and follow union standards. Consequently union productions are often funded by the major motion picture companies.
